The platform stated the updated approach better aligns with other platforms. They have suggested members to review their products and adjust the sizing manually where appropriate, resulting in member annoyance. Measurement Approach Updates Previously, the sizes had both one number and one letter, for instance S/8 or M/10. The new system has a letter and a range such as S/UK 8-10. For certain items, the measurements have been reclassified - for example a size L used to be a 12 but now shows as UK 16-18. Shopper Experiences A fashion influencer, who creates plus-size fashion videos, said the change "makes both selling and buying harder". "Not many brands say XL is a 20-22," which is what Vinted now does. A different member, from Glasgow, stated items she posted featuring size 14 markings were showing in the marketplace as size 20โ22.
